The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) will change the cost of imports in the EU starting in 2026. Key points,…
As experts in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and corporate decarbonization, at Solid Forest we help organizations measure and reduce their environmental impact with objective data.
Solid Forest was founded in 2009 to apply technological expertise to sustainability. We are not a generalist consultancy, but a technical firm specialized in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a methodology that evaluates the environmental effects of a product or service from raw material extraction to the end of its life cycle.
Our mixed technical profile brings together environmental consultants, engineers from different disciplines, IT analysts, and software developers. This complementarity allows us to take on demanding projects and produce complex analyses.
With more than 15 years of experience, we provide the expertise organizations need to make strategic decisions based on real metrics, not estimates.
We support organizations in designing their sustainability strategies by providing verifiable data, traceability, and compliance with current reference regulations.
Through our environmental consulting services, we help structure decision-making with the highest technical rigor in each of our specialties:
Assessment of the full environmental performance of products or services by analyzing inputs, emissions, and waste across all stages of design, manufacturing, marketing, and use.
Calculation and inventory of greenhouse gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 for the organization or product, preparing the technical file for official registration and independent verification.
Analysis of water resource use under the Water Footprint Network and ISO 14046 approaches, assessing both volumes consumed and localized impacts in river basins.
Design of strategic plans with realistic medium- and long-term reduction targets, aligned with climate science and market requirements.
Development of the technical support required to obtain Type III environmental labels, managing the process from initial analysis to external verification.
Application of environmental criteria at the product origin stage to reduce future impacts, facilitating integration of ISO 14006.
In addition to technical consulting projects, at Solid Forest we develop IT tools for the business market. Our software enables in-house corporate teams and other environmental engineering and IT firms to automate and centralize the calculation of their environmental indicators independently.
Air.e LCA is professional Life Cycle Assessment software that calculates and reports environmental impacts for products, services, and organizations. The tool operates under international methodologies and is supported by reference databases such as ecoinvent™.
CCMetrics is an online carbon footprint calculation and tracking platform to measure, report, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in organizations of any size. Its centralized web environment allows activity data to be collected continuously directly through the browser.
Technical features: Multi-user, multi-site cloud platform that uses the Air.e LCA engine to integrate official emission factors (MITECO, DEFRA, or ecoinvent). It automatically classifies inventories under ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol Scopes 1, 2, and 3, exporting reports in both formats without duplicating work.
Benefits for the organization: Provides technical autonomy to set reduction targets and track decarbonization plans. Simplifies management for SMEs and large groups through consolidated multi-company reporting ready for official registry submissions or external audits.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a scientific, standardized methodology that evaluates the environmental impact of a product, service, or organization across all stages of its existence. It analyzes everything from raw material extraction and manufacturing to transport, use, and final treatment at the end of its useful life.
This global approach provides a rigorous environmental profile based on empirical data. By assessing each phase, it prevents greenwashing and ensures that reducing an impact at one specific point does not cause an increase in environmental damage at another stage of the process.
Solid Forest’s technical environmental consulting is aimed at environment managers, quality directors, ESG, communications, and marketing departments, and industrial companies that need to measure, optimize, and communicate their performance and achievements. We focus on obtaining empirical, traceable data to meet demanding regulations, audits, public tenders, or international clients.
We also act as methodological partners for environmental consultancies and large corporations. We provide specialized Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software, advanced training, and expert support to solve projects with high technical complexity.
At Solid Forest we follow a clear, structured methodology in four fundamental phases. This process allows us to accurately calculate the environmental performance of your organization or product and ensure the results are fully reliable:
A standard study for a medium-complexity product usually requires between two and four months of technical work. The exact timeframe varies depending on the complexity of the system analyzed and how quickly the company provides its records.
The longest phase is usually collecting the primary data inventory. If the organization has digitized, centralized internal records, execution times are reduced very significantly.
We strictly apply international reference standards to ensure all results are comparable, reproducible, and audit-ready. For Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies, we base our work on the guidelines of ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
Depending on the required environmental indicator or metric, the work aligns with the following standards:
Yes, our track record of more than 15 years has enabled us to consolidate broad multi-sector experience. LCA methodology and the calculation of environmental indicators are universal, which allows us to adapt calculation models to the particularities of each economic activity without losing methodological rigor.
Over the years, we have developed specific projects for industries of diverse nature:
